TSAVO WEST
The main attraction in this Is the beautiful area of the mzima springs 40km from mtito andei. From the springs which are fed underground from the nearby chyulu hills, flow an estimated 97 million gallons of water a day and the palm fringed oasis which attracts animals from all around to drink in the clear waters. Visitors are allowed to to view inhabitant of the waters like hippos and crocodiles from a different view point. Around this area we shetani lava flow believed to have formed 200years ago . shetani means devil in Swahili and the residents will tell fate stories of their ancestors during the original eruption. An excellent road offers opportunities to explore deeper in the park where herd of elephants, buffalos, zebras, gazelles and Oryx may be foun. We also have a rhino sanctuary where black rhinos browse in safety.
TSAVO EAST
The area is mainly dominated by flat bushes and baobab trees. It was the main area for poaching and some parts are still closed to the public. At one point the river tumbles down a narrow gorge known as lugards falls, named after lord lugard who travelled up the galena on his way to take governance of Uganda. The Kenya/ Uganda railway lines runs close to the road in this area of the park and it is here where the railways was halted when man eating lions dragged several workers always and devoured them in the bush.
