Upon arrival our driver guide will pick you up at the Airport or at your Entebbe hotel very early in the morning and transfer you to Bwindi National Park – home of the mountain gorillas. The trip takes around 8 hours with lunch enroute at the Equator and taking pictures for your memories. Arrive at the camp or lodge check in for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast you will start your safari to the park headquarters for briefing before the gorilla trekking begins. During the briefing the allocation of gorilla family for each 8 members to trek is allocated, at this time if you have specific needs or unable to hike for a long distance communicate during the briefing so that you can be allocated a close family. You are also given the do’s and don’ts during the gorilla trekking. After the briefing you receive a trekking stick and start your gorilla trekking at the Bwindi forest to have one of the best experience. Gorilla trekking usually lasts for about 5 – 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas at that specific time. You are only allowed 1 hour in their midst to take pictures, observe them feed as they interact and play. After the gorilla encounter, trek to a safe place and enjoy your packed lunch or take lunch later at the lodge or camp. Later proceed to the park headquarters to receive your congratulatory certificate and head back to the lodge and camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the lodge or camp check out and proceed to Kampala with lunch enroute on the way. You will have a stopover at the Igongo Cultural Centre and Visit craft shops if you are interested. Later our driver will drop you at the Entebbe Airport to catch your flight back or at your Entebbe hotel marking the end of your Gorilla Trekking Safari with Ariphine Tour and Safaris
